would love to know how to create them loved playing this game back in the day on a dos emulator on my now broken and sold jailbroken DSi XL (also where i got into the mac emulation scene via a old port of mini vmac from 2007) but never quite understood how to program anything accept xcode and the old developer tools so far in cheetah and os 9 i have created a carbon as well as a cocoa text editor using the January 2001 developer tools but anyways is there a wysiwyg editor for wolfenstein 3d on the mac and plus isn't there a way to do just like civilization ii and port the maps/mods over from windows to mac |

1.) I love mods. I've been collecting user-generated stuff for a lot of games (Dark Forces, Diamonds etc) over the years and uploading them to the Garden. Also created a fanpage for Civ II on Mac with modding info & scenarios. (for those interested, it can be found at http://civ2.macintosh.garden/ ) 2.) Modding games on Mac OS is rather undocumented. I kept bugging fogwraith (Mac Garden admin) about creating sort of a ModDB exclusively for Mac OS. But like most of us he already has his hands full with projects. So this cries for someone else to pick up the idea. I'm sure webspace/hosting could be worked out with fogwraith within the realms of the Mac Garden. 3.) I remember seeing modding tools for Wolfenstein 3D. If you're really interested in it, check out something like the "BBS in a box" CDs on the Mac Garden. You'll likely have to do some digging, though - a pioneer's work. There might be some level generation apps for Wolf 3D with a GUI too. EDIT: Fogwraith sent me the link to this Wolf 3D fanpage. Take a look around! http://lazrojas.com/wolf3d/

Wolfenstein 3D runs OK on my IIci ('030, 25 Mhz) with a Cache Card installed. Not fast, but tolerable. It should run fine on your 636CD which is essentially a nerfed Quadra. You can always make the window size smaller if performance is shaky.
