Lol, you didn't read my last post: I have a 6360, which is practically the same case with practically the same motherboard: essentially a 6400: in that post I explained that I would be looking at ethernet options after I figured out a hard drive option for it! :D

If I find anything that can be acquired that's practical to get and use after researching it, I'll post my findings here :)

A PowerMac 6500 MB would have a comm slot and there were ethernet cards that work well in that slot. I imagine they are somewhat hard to find and probably not cheap if found. The nice advantage to the comm slot cards is they do not tie up a PCI slot.

I expected as much when I looked at the board breakdown:

I only wish mine had had one already when I got it :(

Here's a eBay aucion on some parts that seem to include at least two ethernet cards for the Communication Slot. I have one of these in my PowerMac 5500 and they just work with at least 7.6.1 and above. No need to install any third party drivers etc.

Change of plans having some problems with that board so now i am back to the one with the 33mhz 68LC040 at least when i bought the logic board with the 33mhz 68LC040 it was fully recapped and cleaned unlike the other one from the 6500... but hey i get to experience what my 486 laptop never gave me a CD Drive ;)
