Neat!  Yet another video format  but it begs the question, if a QT film w/CinePak is encoded as 1-bit w/no audio, would the file have better compression than flim? And does flim need a plugin to play in QT?Bottom-line: we welcome all new retro software and this is super-cool!  we may need a flim section in Cornica now, lol

I think it's a Player , doesn't use QT. And you have to use the dedicated tool to make rasterized flims from usual video files, that is Flimaker. He posted the stuff and sources on GitHub : https://github.com/fstark/macflim But don't know about comparison to a QT ... Yeah pretty neat And So good to see new toys done for old Macs. Will try it next time I fire up my Classic.

I havent tried it out but this looks so awesome! Reminds me of the early Videoworks II videos. I remember reading somewhere that they showed it off at Macworld during the 80s on a compact Mac and all the folks passing by put in a full stop. Smooth video in b&w - wow. MacFlim (first thought it was a typo, lol) looks amazing. I need to try it out. Its on the to do for next weekend :-)
