@Neal_SE30 - You're running of original Mac HW and all your system is doing is forward the keyboard requests to your BT stack.

I am running of an emulator sitting atop Debian 64 and that means I've got none of the chip HW you have installed on your machine. So any low level keyboard scan will fail on my setup - since I have no dedicated keyboard chips to begin with (=> Tablet).

Under MS-DOS you can check for user input either via reading in a typed character or by directly scanning the hardwares codes (which also allows to scan for non-printable keys). The later one regularly fails on DOS emulators, too.

Sunday afternoon/evening is good with me too.

@68040 ah all becomes clear. Yes i am just using usb dongle connected directly to my g3 hardware so i can now see why yours maybe having an issue as I presume using a wireless keyboard on an ipad is likely software driven not hardware. Through emulation. Humm maybe a different route

Technically I believe the maximum number of Bolo players is 16, however you'll never reach close to that many outside of a local area network. The practical maximum number of players will depend on their locations and the latency between them and the server. Expect around 6 players. Perhaps more if they're all in North America.

I have an idea for significantly improving the latency situation, but I doubt I will have time to work on it any time soon.

Feels like it's time for another Bolo game.
I also feel like it would be cool to have a calender for the forum to keep track of get togethers and other things. But I think that's something for the feedback forum.

So... Bolo soon-ish? :)

Somebody else interested? Neal? Cashed? Scouter? Maybe 68040 this time?

Or one of our Americans with a free hour during the day? (we'll most likely play in the evening / european time)
