Hi - Hope you guys didn't mind me crashing your planned game earlier today.

Scott Squires (the fellow who created the Bolo reboot) has added a game notification function which allows for an email notification trigger for an email list I manage.

If you're interested in being added to the Bolo game notification email distribution list, send me a PM (which will act as acknowledgement to receive Bolo game notifications by email).

Hi superjer,

on the contrary, we welcome everybody :-)

It's just that most of us are first-time players with no clue on how Bolo works and the others played like 2-3 times.

So we had to get sort of a "safe heaven" to practice building, shooting, moving etc. ... it gets hard to do that while you get shot from behind. So we hope you don't think we don't want to play with you! It's just we need to figure out how it works at all first - after which we should schedule a big match. :-)

I have played it today on my SE/30 just fine, a little glitchy but that could be the server otherwise it worked just fine. been able to see your base is a bit more tricky in B&W though. going to finish reading system7 updated then going to go do some practice :)

Ok so I’ve been practicing on bolo. More important on my SE/30, with os approx 3mb of ram on 7.5.5

Some screenshots

It worked just as well on my se/30 so i think it would work just fine on an SE with memory filled which is exciting to know.

Hey, joined just to post here, as I found info pointing here in my once every few years search for a Bolo resurrection!

Not sure I'm really that welcome as only running a emulator to play. But Downloaded and installed the http://bolo.astrospark.com version and have it running, but not sure If I can find or join others? I get a time out error when trying to load Bolo Buddy 2.0a.

Exciting to see some activity again around Bolo. I first played way back in mac computer labs where it was circulated on the network. Later played Nubolo, and Xbolo when it was alive, lots of nostalgia for me, would love to play with some actual people again!

Hey Infms,
We’re not precious here just enthusiasts of older Mac operating systems. So you’re more than welcome to join in emulation or vintage hardware makes no difference!!!

Actually Scott rebuilt Bolo and now hosts it. Ourselves we’ve only been playing multiplayer the last few weeks since it was resurrected well reverse engineered to work online. So we’ll make sure we post when we’ll going on so you can join in :)

Theo, message Scot on hotline. I’m sure he has the code

As it seems Bolo doesn't like BT keyboards, so I'll be stuck out at sea on my forever floating tank. :(

That's odd. Are you running of B-II or spiced up vintage HW?

Installed Bolo on the Quadra over the weekend and played a bit in the tutorial and a non-network game.  Neat game - can't believe I've overlooked all these years.

Would love to join a game at some point.

Oh, anyone getting server time-out errors in Internet Bolo Buddy?  Probably something on my end, but figured I'd ask.
