Weekend is here! Time to tinker with my 8600, the S7T website and forums. We've been running a "hit counter" in the background since day 1 (aka Google Analytics for the poor; yet it keeps us JavaScript free and doesn't slow things down)

Guess what? Top 5 pages based on mere hits on System 7 Today are: (except startpage)

1st place: Hardware guide
2nd place: Gaming - Multiplayer
3rd place: Software Guide - Internet
4th place: About S7T
5th place: Videocards

Least clicked page:

Fireworks 2

Woah, talk about surprises! Obviously there aren't many Fireworks fans around here :-)

I'm baffled by the interest in the hardware guide and multiplayer games. Both lead by a good margin! I had assumed both were interesting sections but I had rather seen the help center or "why system 7" pages up there. I guess that means we'll have to focus on delivering more content on these pages, as there isn't much as of now.

Well, just wanted to share this with you. Open for ideas, suggestions and feedback as always :-)

You know the old adage: content is king :)

Guides and content will top the lists in due time, of which S7T has so much to draw from and I'll be looking forward to more updates from behind the scenes :D

And like one of my latest replies, information on souping up the different flavors of System 7 without bogging it down too much is definitely a hot topic ;)

As an analyst myself sometimes the numbers don’t always tell the story.
Were more people interested in hardware because it’s interactive with drop downs. Maybe 🤔

Just a thought

Lol, I just look at recent posts (same as the MG) unless I have something to post or ask at either location, so this way of using the forums pushes the active conversations up higher, and I have a sneaky feeling that others do this same thing as well? ;)

All posts are very much appreciated :-)

And yes, you're probably spot-on Neal. Since we don't track visitors, all we have are simple numbers for how often a document was requested from the server.

In that particular case though, the select boxes haven't been implemented before we got those numbers. So there seems indeed to be a big interest in hardware stuff.

I suppose the inner geek always wants to know about the hardware. It is interesting though as I would have thought if you’re looking at system7 we already have the hardware and thus the software, guidance, problems, work arounds, widget’s , would be more popular. I love stats but i’m slightly weird that way :)
