hello everybody. I just recently bought a powerbook 190 for $40(plus shipping) and I was wondering what upgrades I can do to it. thanks in advance Tom P.S I'll give you the specs once I recieve the laptop itself but I do know it is running a version of OS 7 |

Welcome to S7T! Not a whole lot to the 190. It is a 68k machine (as opposed to PowerPC), so you also won't be able to run much of the software on this site. I really need to make a 68k section one of these days, but as of yet haven't. Ram and hard drives can be replaced. Ram is rather expensive for those though. You can also add SCSI devices such as an external CD, Scanner, Hard Drive, Zip Drive, etc. You can also do wireless with an Orinoco Gold or Silver 16bit PCMCIA card (not 32bit cardbus), and the software on this site.
