http://main.system7today.com/articles/tutorials/osxfilesharing.html explains how to set up the software... but how do I actually connect, say, an LC, with my modern system? I've got a Cube and a Clamshell and a MacBook Pro. Also can an LC read 800K diskettes? (Horrifying not to remember, but it's been a long time.) |

I don't know much about the LC but none of them have a built in ethernet port, so unless you can get an ethernet comm card in the PDS slot I think you're out of luck connecting the LC to the other machines. Other forum members may have better suggestions. To connect the other machines together just install a router and run an ethernet cable from each machine to the router, then follow the instructions in the link you posted. Be aware that OS 10.6 and later does not support classic networking.

As far as I recall, late Apple 3.5" floppies were capable of reading and writing 720k, 800k and 1440k. Most (all?) drives could also read 400k disks.
