This was my Facebook status last night:

I'm indescribably thankful to the man who gave so much meaning to my life and the lives of millions of others around the world. You defined a generation and single-handidly steered an entire industry from humble beginnings to great heights. Thank you so much for all the years of inspiration and brilliance. Thanks for everything, Steve.

I have always been a fan of Steve Jobs and used to look forward to watching his keynotes on the net. RIP Steve and thanks for helping better the way we live.

:(

I heard the news last night. I was blown away. I never expected it to happen so soon...

R.I.P. Steve. I may not have been a user of your product for all these years, but I really appreciate what you've done for mankind.

Wow i didn't think a group focused on Gil Amelio Spindler and Sculley would pay tribute to Steve Jobs

When i was a kid 5-6 years old i would email him different problems i had with my late 2008 macbook pro 15" we had a lot in common when it came to ideas and i remember the day the iPhone 4S keynote took place a few days before his death my hard drive crashed when i tried running COD Black Ops
i sent him an email after much frustration and he replied with a free copy of Lion saying "if there was one last thing i could do to help you it would be to fix the inevitable" i think what he meant by that even though i didn't realize he was dying as nobody else did that before he died he wanted to do something nice for a kid he only knew by email who had devoted a lot of his day even hiding it from my teachers during kindergarten (Which he had a good laugh about) to email a dying useless old man and he could in turn fix my problem which was that while i had a new hard drive i installed my self i had no copy's of Mac OSX to install on it

Thats how i knew him we were 3,000 miles apart but we had a common interest in ideas for the mac still wish the email service i used back then was still online :(

Hopefully he gets a chance to design a better heaven for all of us. A place where RAM never is exhausted, your memory storage doesn't deteriorate and the midnight oil can stay on the shelve - for nobody needs to burn it.

There are people in charge and there are those who are charging. Steve Jobs inspired and inspiration is more in short supply today than ever.
