Hello all,
So, its been so long since I have used this system and I do recall there was a piece of software used to spin down the hard disk drives so that it would leave the computer quiet.

I was thinking that someone might remember the name of that software? I sure don't. I know that I did have it years ago, and of course now that I need it I cannot find it.

Thanks for taking the time to read,
Bret

Go Apple Menu -> Energy Saver -> Sleep Setup

You should find a control for how long your hard drive is inactive before the system puts it to sleep.

The machine I am looking at is running 8.6 so depending on your system software, the labels may be a bit different.

That would be "Sleeper" by St. Clair Software.

I used this on my Quadra with a very loud Micropolis hard drive.
