Hi everyone, well sadly I need to say goodbye to this computer. I've placed the ad on Craigslist, but thought I should here too. It has 7.6.1 with most of the updates from this website (system 7 today). If you check out the pictures at craigslist, you can see that it has over 300mb ram. You would be getting VGA adapter, MAC 7.6.1 install disks, keyboard and mouse. Plese see the pictures at craigslist. Go to Craigslist Vermont and search 'vintage power mac'
Thanks,
Dan

Hi, well the Power Mac had to make the trip down the river. But I pulled all the RAM. There was 320 MB total. Compatible RAM for the Power Mac 8600/300 is DRAM of the FPM type, 168 pin DIMM. I'm assuming all the RAM I pulled fits this, though I can't say for sure. But it certainly works. Check here for some pictures I uploaded for you folks: uvm.edu/~dplynch     Then click on the folder "RAM, Mac OS, and Apple Hard Drive"

3 sticks of  Kingston KTA604, 64MB each. All three for $12, or $6 each.

3 sticks of IBM, 32 MB each. All three for $8, or $4 each.

2 sticks unknown brand, 16 MB each. $5 for both.
Free shipping for RAM.

Additionally, I  have a 1GB, Apple SCSI hard drive, 50 pin, $12 and $3 shipping. Mac OS 7.6.1 is installed, with many of the updates from System 7 Today, such as Open Transport, etc. for internet access.

Also, Mac 7.6.1 install CDs with all booklets and instructions. $5 + 5 shipping

Hope this will be of use to some of you!
