Hello everybody,

I'm a ITSec guy from Berlin and my adventure with Macs has just begun.

I used DOS and Windows from the very beginning and I was relatively happy with XP. Recently, when the RC of Windows 7 has been announced, I decided that I spend anyway too much time with system support (updates, firewall, antivirus, registry cleaning) and that it's time to change.

So I got rid of Windows and installed Ubuntu Jaunty. Jaunty had its limitations and when Ubuntu Karmic was available I upgraded the OS.

When I was using Ubuntu I stumbled upon Sheepshaver. I like the emulator, but I decided that I'd like to try a real Mac. I bought a working Powermac 9500/200 for 1 Euro and it's fun to play with it.

So, I'm happy with every piece of advice I find in this forum.

z.

You made a good choice. SheepShaver is ultra buggy and I wouldn't want that to be anyone's only experience with classic Mac OS.
