Where do i get a driver for a laser writer 4? I have one and i would like to hook it up to my lc 575, I dont have clue if the prnter works at all,

Are you sure that this is not a LaserWriter 4/600?

If it is, this is a localtalk networking postscript printer.  It will attach directly to the LC 575 with a serial cable.  It will also network using AppleTalk or PhoneNet connectors.

The driver is the LaserWiter driver.  You can upgrade to LaserWriter 8 on this site.

I have one of these ( given to me).  I had it hooked up with an AsanteTalk Appletalk to Ethernet Transceiver. It was pretty flakey, so now I am using LocalTalk Bridge on a Starmax so that all of my computers on the ehternet network can see it and print to it .

There is no on/off switch.  Hook it up and plug it in and if you have the connections and drivers it is ready to go.
