I would like to connect an IBM ThinkVision L150 to my IIci (7.6.1) but I am unsure if it would work. On Flickr, I saw a picture of an LCIII that seemed to be running a Sony LCD. With the proper DB15 to DVI cable, would I be able to drive the screen? My IIci has the Apple 8*24 nubus video card installed. Thank you. |

You would need to check the specs on the ThinkVision L150 monitor. If it supports vga/svga it should work fine with your IIci with a Mac/PC monitor adaptor. bill

If the native resolution of the LCD is 1024x768 or 1280x1024 or some other standard ratio then it should work fine. If it doesn't, or is a widescreen, you may need our Resolution Manager utility for System 7. In either case, this is not really a "driver" so much as telling the video card the width and height of the display. If it uses the ones built-into System 7 like mentioned above, it will work fine.

Thank you for your replies. I've had trouble finding 68k-era Apple monitors, but no lack of the nicely designed IBM ThinkVision LCDs. One of them, maybe the one mentioned but certainly the 15" variant, supports SoG and VGA/SVGA. I just wanted to double check here.
