Not sure what is up with today. Did it do the same thing yesterday? :)

What is SheepShaver specifically emulating? Is it emulating a 68K Mac or a PPC Mac? And to go hand in hand with that, how did you install Stuffit Expander and is the Stuffit Expander you installed appropriate for the system you are emulating.

It is hard to trouble shoot emulator problems. Not only can you have difficulties with the system you are emulating, but there can be problems with the emulator and of course there could also be problems with the system you are running the emulator on.

If you are running System 7 and you don't specifically need to run PPC-only applications, it might be worthwhile to try Basilisk II instead of Sheepshaver.  It's a little bit more suited to the purpose.

Meanwhile, if you are using a crappy ROM image for Sheepshaver, switching over involves using a new ROM, so that could help all by itself.
