I just picked up a Quicktake 150 camera. It came with the Apple case, a nice Apple branded sleeve, the close up lens, and an external battery booster pack. It appears to be working fine.

I do not have any software for the camera, and have no idea how one transfers images from the camera to the computer. I would appreciate any information on using the camera and links to any software needed to transfer images (and from what I have gleaned, software is needed to transfer the images.)

My first digital camera was the Quicktake 200. I purchased the new from Apple and still cringe a bit remembering what I paid for it. But I really liked that camera and took thousands of pictures with it. Eventually I felt I needed a better camera, bought a new one and sold the QT 200. It was a big mistake. My newer camera takes much better pictures, but is a chore to use and the end result is I just quit taking pictures.

Have a nice evening.

Try this link:

http://www.macdrivermuseum.net/scan.shtml

It has the drivers for the 100, 150 and 200.

Funnily enough, the google search only pulls it up as a first item when you search for the 100.

Have fun.

I think the drivers and the actual software are different.

Thanks for the link to the software. I had tried the macdrivermuseum but it did not seem to be working, when I tried. I grabbed the disk images for the 150.

I think you are correct, Dan. PhotoFlash was the application for picture editing that was included with the camera software. But there is a separate driver/application needed to download the images from the camera.

From what I read the Quicktake 100 and 150 saved the pictures as pict files rather than the jpegs that are so common now.

I am a bit busy at the moment, so it will probably be a few days or so before I can install the software and drivers and see how well the camera is working.
