I recently got an old mac from a friend for a couple of PSP parts. In trade for those, I got a wonderful PowerBook 3400. I think it's processor speed is 240 MHz. I currently have Mac OS 8.6 on it, plus, I own the Mac OS 8.6, OS 9.04 CDs. I am hoping to buy a Mac OS 7.6 CD so I can see what it is like. I just wanted to drop a note because I am new here and I recently got my first PowerBook. It only is my first Mac! |

Hearty Welcome, Dan has a list of upgrades for Mac OS 7.6.1 on site here. However, I have found that many of these are also applicable to OS 8.6 and 9.0.4. Until you get a hold of 7.6, you may want to go through these upgrades and match them to what is currently in your system. You will see a speed bump + for Internet Explorer, you will see the java errors go away. Have fun. Dave
