My "newest" Mac is a Beige G3 with 320MB RAM and a 40GB HD. My "newest" Mac is a recently gifted IIci with a Daystar '040. I also have a 6400/200 which refuses to start. At one time, I had an example of almost every Mac up to and including the Quadra 840AV. A move from a large house to a small apartment meant finding new homes for most of those however. The only one that remains is the 840AV. |

Currently PM9600 with almost a gig of RAM running 7.6.1 Shares an internet connection with an Ubuntu Linux box which is on my wireless network. Prints to an HP LaserJet 4M. I estimate the 9600 plus the printer must weigh about 100 lbs - this stuff was built like a tank !

G4 Digital Audio 533 is my most recent so far (I use it daily), but recent developments in the Mac world are forcing me to consider a used Intel machine at some point in the near future. Snow Leopard will likely be released in 2009 and if Apple is consistent in only going back 4 years in support of older hardware, that doesn't leave many PPC machines so PPC support will probably be cut. In fact, with a 4 year window of support, Snow Leopard may be the last release to support the 2006 Intel Macs so finding at least a second generation Intel Mac is moving higher in my priorities.

I've read from multiple sources that Snow Leopard will drop support for PPC Macs. It will be a sad day indeed.

My most recent is a 2.66 Mac Pro. Speedy and fun to be sure, but part of me feels "like everybody else" when I look at System Profiler and see Intel listed everywhere.

My most current Mac is an 867MHz Powerbook G4, although the display tends to misbehave and flicker lately. It bugs me to no end since I could never figure out how to solve it without replacing the whole logic board. My second most current is my 400MHz G3 Pismo.

It has a 867 Mhz processor, 60gb hard drive, 512mb RAM, and a 2x CD-R/DVD-RW Superdrive. It is running Mac OS X Panther (10.3.9) which is perfect for me because I can still use my older programs under Classic mode. This is the one I use most often, especially for managing my photos and for my writing.

PowerMac 7600 w/ OS 8.6 G3 266 96MB RAM 1.2GB SCSI HDD Generic Chuntex SVGA (yay for $5 monoprice aapters!) Clearly, I don't use Macintoshes as primary computers.

Well I am Using a black mac book (2008 may) as a desktop and laptop, when its in desktop mode it has 2 ipod's hooked up (As storage there old one) 2 Usb Hdds (700Gb,300Gb) M$ Usb Mouse Usb Dv Cam and a blue tooh keybord Running 10.5 then I got a g3 server running os9, (Its the beige one) then i got an lc575 with 2gb Hdd

My newest Mac is a 2.8 GHz 24" iMac in my home office. One work office has one of the first release Mac Pros with a Dell 24" LCD (sorry!). My other office has a newish aluminum 20" iMac. I also have a Macbook that I can use when I pry it away from my wife and kids.

My most 'modern' Macs are a 450MHz G4 Cube, and a 400 MHz Pismo, both of which I use routinely under Mac OS X 10.4.11. My kids have somewhat later models - an iBook G4 1.07 GHz and an aluminum PowerBook G4 1.25 GHz. - Don

Most modern Mac I own is a G4 400 - currently waiting for me to install OS9. Most modern work machines I have are a PB G4 800 (9.2.2) and Intel Mini Mac (XP).
