I'm looking for a good audio recorder for mac OS 7. It should record unlimited sound, in good quality, and be lightweight enough to run on a slower powerpc system. The one I already have tends to hiccup a bit on my powerbook 1400/117 when recording in stereo. Should also be freeware, of course.

I'm looking for a good sound recording application, too.   Let us know what you find.

I've been playing with Coaster a bit for now.   I'd be interested in what else is available though.

Sonicworx Power Bundle records sound to disk.   Let's you do realtime effects too.   It's what I'm playing with right now.

Ever tried Sound Sculptor II ?

It has one disadvantage: recording time limit. Besides that, I suppose it perfect.
You can download it for free now.

I remember I used Sound Edit from macromedia to record things on my 68k mac back in the old days. It was not free but I remember it to be a really cool software for sound!
