I installed 7.5.3 from floppy disks on my Duo 230. But at the time I had a working system on it. I downloaded the disk images and them burned them to disks. But I guess if you can mount them, there's no need for physical disks. What you can try is using the boot disk to boot the 520, install whatever you can from the boot disk into the 520's hd so that it will boot itself into system 7 (doesn't matter what version here, just get it to boot into 7). Then, get 19 floppies and put 7.5.3 on them (mount the images on 520 then use Disk Copy to put the images on the floppy disks). Then you just get Disk 1 and start installing. It's a lot of work, but will get the job done. BTW, I would format the HD again before installing. Hope this helps

I forgot: it's better if you keep just one message about this problem, and keep reading the replies and posting replies yourself as you go along. Too many topics about the same thing just makes it confusing to follow where you are on this.

No, the posts don't bother us, they are very welcome. The only thing is that you were making several posts for the same problem, and I suggested you keep them all in one post, so that it's easier to follow. Good to hear you got 7.6.1 installed. Enjoy your mac!

Quote from: "pinkclouds" i didn't know that too may posts are bothering this site.. It's not about the amount of postings, but it would have been easier to follow your progress, if you could have kept it all under one headlining. Congrat for making the 520c to run again, anyway. Nice job!
