Help! My iMac started doing this yesterday, it spits the cd out half way, then wiggles it back and forth, and then makes it fall out. It does this most of the time but not always. One time the cd just shot out without the wiggling. It also makes odd noises right after from the cd tray and won't let you put the cd back in right away. I posted this video on youtube if it makes it any clearer: http://youtube.com/watch?v=1o1JJ6fjO9g Just wanted to know if there was anything I could do for it before I take it in for service. Also, I've never had to take in anything for service so I assume you just bring it in usually? And what if I can't find the receipt (I can't)? And I didn't buy it at the local place I'd have to take it too, I bought it online, does that matter? The free telephone support was gone like a week ago but I still have the warranty. Well there isn't much we can help you with, thats clearly a hardware failure. It doesn't matter where you bought it so long as you're taking it to an Authorized Reseller, or to the Apple Store.
