Someone threw away (actually put  aside nicely) a Sony 21" Trinitron E500 for someone to pickup by our apartment building's trashcans today.

Btw price originally USD 1100, not that many years ago.

This is allready 4th CRT monitor I have found for free. 2 highend Sonys, 1 regular Sony and 1 common Nokia monitor without even trying. I have a real good monitor calibrator which works better with CRTs than LCDs.

I am happy that people want to change to LCDs!

Now where could I find a pair for my Eizo for a twinhead...

The 21" is now my main monitor with b&w. It had a dualhead with 17" inchers so far. It is hard to believe, but this behemoth actually saves me some table room and the screen estate is not diminished either. Could actually be more practical because of the extra height, this way!

I have a Sony 17" CRT thats sitting in my garage. I was planning on putting it on Craig's List for free. For now, I guess it a good backup just in case the LCD fail. I have to say I don't miss the CRT. It took up so much space on my desk and gave off alot of heat.
