I have a PowerBook 1400/166 MHz that runs OS 8.6 and has a 6GB hard drive, but I'd also like to install System 7.5.3 (which I have on an old MacAddict CD-ROM) on the PowerBook as well so I can run older programs. I have a 128MB CompactFlash card with the appropriate PC Card adapter, so is it possible I can install 7.5.3 on the CompactFlash card, or do I have to partition the hard drive in order to install 7.5.3? Somebody help me!

It's easy to install an os onto a compact flash, during the install procedure it will ask you where you want and then select the compact flash drive. I belive there may be issues with 7.5.x on a 1400 though. Not real sure off hand. Good luck.
