While doing some house cleaning at my parent's house, I dug up an old Mac Performa 475. Excited, I take it home with me. When I turned it on, however, I received a screen showing a floppy disk with a blinking question mark. I'm assuming that this means the computer is searching for a boot disk, but all I came across was the computer itself, the monitor, mouse and keyboard. Anyway, let's cut to the chase: Does anyone know where I can create a boot disk/install disk for System 7? |

You might leave it powered up for a while to let the components get warmed up. The computer should have a hard drive and with some time the hard drive might get up to speed. Every few minutes you can press the control key, command (Apple) key and the power button (has a triangle on it). This will force the computer to reset and begin looking for a System Folder all over. Apple has several systems available for download on their older down load site. Creating boot floppies from these downloads often can be tricky and if you run into problems just ask. bill
