Hi, I bought a Performa 6200 off of ebay in the original box with a mouse keyboard and monitor and some software. It ended at $36. What I didn't realize was since this was a Canadian seller was that shipping to the U.S. would be very high. I ended up paying $101. So how much did I really get ripped off?

Welcome the club of one of the worst macs ever built! $100 is cheap, I paid 2grand new. Seriously, though it's not that bad. I ran mine up to last year. 7.6.1 works great and with 64meg ram, even photoshop 5.0 is good. Use the tips on the site and you'll find it to be a useful toy. Have fun.

I once bought a GameGear from a canadian seller, and i did not realize it would take until july (this was bought in early june 2006) for it to get to me. My state for some reason has odd import rules that require extra processing for foregin packages. My advice is avoid canadian sellers unless absolutely nesscary.

Ugh! I still haven't even gotten it! I emailed the seller they gave me a tracking number... and found out it ended up in Wyoming (I'm in Wisconsin). They took care of it but I just want to get the computer... I'm very excited for it!

It's been almost two months and you still haven't gotten it?

I finally got a tracking number for it so I'm quite relieved! I looked on the website and it's in the mail so I know the guy shipped it... just want to get it though! We recently went through a not to great dispute with a seller who lost a mac os 9 disk I ordered! Ugh, -glad I don't have to do that again!

Got the display and software today! But... unfortunatly, even though it was well packed and said fragile on the box, the post office still managed to completely wreck the monitor (it was an apple multiscan 15 display). So now my question is... Is there an adapter that will work with with the performa 6200 to make it be able to use a normal vga monitor? I swear, I am just not meant to have this computer!

Yeah, there are lots of adapters that allow VGA moniters to be used with the Mac video out port.

Here's one I just plucked off of Ebay. This one seems a bit overpriced to me though.

Will this adapter work with any vga monitor? I have a Sony flat panel vga monitor... Obviously I could get an  older CRT monitor.
