Does anyone know if 7.6 is bootable from CD? I want to upgrade the HD in my machine and do a clean format and install to the new drive, so I will need to be able to load in an OS from other than the hard drive that is in the machine now. |

There are generic install CDs which will boot any hardware that supports OS 7.6. Most machine specific install CDs will also boot most any machine that supports OS 7.6, but I am sure there are exceptions. bill

How do you boot from CD? I just got my 7.6 CD today and the installer says to try booting from the CD before doing the install. I turned the machine off then back on with the CD in the drive, but nothing happened. Is there more to it than that??
