Pondering whether we should add a MacLynx compatible theme to the forum, specifically for use when visiting from your 68k System 7 Mac. Anybody except Knezzen and I interested in that?

I would find that interesting to use. Starting yesterday evening I used Macports to install Lynx on my freshly all restored 17" G4 Powerbook. I have no idea how long it took. It all had to compile and I let it run overnight. My thought was to compare MacLynx running under "Classic" to Lynx running in the terminal.

Then this morning I realized that I had put the G4 back together with the Leopard HD in it, so I am going to have to do it again after I put in the Tiger HD.

Yes.  I'd like to do a bit more with Lynx (from a Powerbook 5300), so I'd be interested in this theme.

Very cool! That makes us 4 already :-)

Knezzen dug up a possible solution - there is a WAP theme for the forum, intended for those old-style mobile phones. It does work very fast and well on MacLynx too though. In fact, I'm posting from it. The URL is:

We'd appreciate if any of you could test it too and give us some feedback. Would this suffice?

The WAP mode works fine in Lynx, if you ask me.
For your graphical browsers, there is also imode:

Works in Lynx as well, to me choosing one over the other comes down to preference.
