Congratulations!

As for games, I don't really know. I used to play through a game called "Landstalker" which was neat, kind of an isometric action role-playing game? Time was no constraint back then :-) ... it was fun!

Also always loved the Shining Force strategy games. Basically the kind of stuff you wouldn't find on a System 7 Mac :)

Hey @snes1423,

If your box has composite video out there are a LOT of adapters, but the good news is that if it is really just NTSC, the resolution is so low that on converting it isn't a big chore (as compared to, say, VGA), so pretty much anything modern will do.

I have this one that I like:

This is another good one:

I love the modern military games of the '90s, like Desert Strike. It's so cool flying around in an Apache, decimating everything hahaha. The reason I like it so much is that you get to play at your own pace, free from constant imminent danger, so you can relax while you play it. There are also optional things to do, like rescuing MIA U.S. soldiers, but rescuing them restores your armor.

I also really love Vector Man, and then, of course. are the original three Mortal Kombat games!

Of course you already mentioned the Sonic games. I like Sonic 2 more than the original, because you can charge up your spin.

Sega Rally games have always been popular racing games. I'm actually looking for Genesis game recommendations, too!

There's a cult classic called Night Trap. I think it's stupid and a POS, but it's notorious for having movies as part of the game play, and it was actually only for the Sega CD addon.

I've also heard good things about the Shining Force games. I never really played them, though. There's a decent-looking RPG I played for a bit a while back. I'll see if I can find which game it was.

I recently discovered the "Video Game History Foundation":

Here's an article about unused art and levels that didn't make it into Sonic 2:

And here's one about one of my all time fav genesis games, Aladdin!
