I prefer using Zip drives, I do actually have my 3 machines networked se/30 os7.53 to my imac g3 os9.2 via Ethernet, then iMac to my 2012 intel iMac But really I prefer Zip drives, usb one for the iMac g3, scsi one on my se/30 you really don’t need more than a 100mb for os7. So I use my Intel Mac to download the software, share with g3 then zip to zip Just like using zip more than sharing.
