If my Mac starts up before I remember to turn on the connected ethernet hub/router, the Appletalk connection reverts back to the Localtalk/printer port instead of the ethernet port. This is really annoying if only because it's so slow to switch it back! Has anyone come up with a solution to this problem? PRAM Reader (which can store or restore PRAM settings) looks like it should do the job. But although it appears to switch back to ethernet port in the control panel, AppleTalk doesn't actually work thereafter. |
