Been away and/or very busy during the past weeks and couldn't post the new stuff that's happening in our community. So here is a (belatedly reported) new little Extension written by Steve Crutchfield for System 7: It will show files modified today or yesterday as “Today” or “Yesterday” just like Mac OS 8 does. Works in both Finder list views and the Get Info window. See a Screenshot here Download is located at the Mac Garden Cool to see more useful little utilities being written that enhance the System 7 experience :-) |

It is nice to see new software making further use of old hardware. One of the reasons for keeping my old 8bit commodore machine around is that folks are still exploiting that hardware. I do recall when the relative dates became a thing and probably just me, but I do not like relative dates as much as I like specific dates. And that might come from growing up in an era when communication was less instantaneous. Plus of course after 20 years of retirement, last week, last month, today and next week are really just all considered "now".
