Here's a request for a scroll-bar in the Recent Posts section of the Main page.

I don't know if it's at all possible, but I would dearly love one if it is.

As I find it difficult to recall topic thread's actual title after a few days, once they have been bumped off the Recent Posts' list. Then searching on some hopefully relative words a bit hit and miss, when trying to find those threads again.

10 topic links in the Recent Posts section is not enough I find, and I'd like to be able to go back in time via a scrolling list of recent posts...

Anyway, just a thought.

Given the rising activity on S7T, it's probably wise to extend the section. I fully agree and will look into the matter, either we're simply extending the list to show more items or will offer some kind of separate archive.

EDIT: I've extended the list to show 15 entries as a quick fix. I'll look into how to possibly display a bigger backlog via scrollbars but I need to check on how to do that with HTML3.2 and old Macs compatibility in mind.

Thanks for asking, MTT! :)

Anytime I've been away any length of time due to work or other life escalations, I'm usually hunting in the 'new' sections for missed threads, which is not as quick of a process.

Perhaps a link to a section that is a bit more robust for faster Macs could also work? It could be tucked away or simply bookmarked, this way we can bounce out for a while and still come back and catch up maybe? Just thinking out loud on this one ;)

I just want to remind people that the forum does have an RSS feed <http://system7today.com/forums/index.php?type=rss;action=.xml>

I am not sure what Classic Mac Software can make use of the feed, but for many using emulators for System 7,8,9 there is no doubt a RSS news reader that can bring a complete list of the posts to your host machine and save them as well.

Nice one, Wove! :D

I installed NewsStand on Mac OS 9 and added it to its RSS Feeds and was able to read the five latest threads! :)

Thank you, wove. The RSS is a helpful point, too.
