Ran into this article some days ago and it's really an interesting read about, well, the last man in floppy disk business. Unfortunately, it requires a modern https capable browser to access:

https://eyeondesign.aiga.org/we-spoke-with-the-last-person-standing-in-the-floppy-disk-business/

Not sure if he's really the last, but definitely the biggest fish left I'd say.

Interesting read on the "state of the floppy disk in 2022"!

Very interesting -there’s still hope that some of the lost software will show up :)

Yes. Loved this read. He may be in the business for four more years! Not surprising given his 72 years.

The pic of his floppy multi-writer boxes sitting on Styrofoam "shock absorbers" is classic. Thanks for this post.

Hi Cas. There might be hope for that shrink-wrapped box of DD floppies I've kept all of these years, after all ;)

A late '90's purchase I believe. They were becoming scarce back then, too.

And roughly 5 or 6 years ago I walked into a high street tech shop and asked the assistant if they had any floppy disks in stock. The young assistant looked at me, blinked a couple of times then asked "What's a floppy disk?"

I would add to this that most of the best stuff I can think of was produced or designed during that time. And I am not limiting this to just electronic circuitry.
