So I've been working on my solutions which's been awesome and they all work fine which's also good :) the only issue I was having was that outside of FMP 5.5 OS X Server, none of the other servers were available on the MG.. then I found one of the key discs! :P

Of course, version 6 still's the ultimate version to get, but I'll def take this one for now until it surfaces! ;)

The MG has version 5.5 (Standard, Developer and Server) on its download page. On the version 6 page, I think you might only need to supply a server specific serial and you will get the server version. I know the large DL #1 on that page will install either Standard or Developer depending on the code used, but lack of server code prevents me for vouching on server being included.

Thanks Mike! :)

Yes, I know at least one's there, except that the download for the Classic version reads 5.0v1 instead of 5.5 (DL #10?) unless I'm looking at the wrong one or maybe there's a 5.0 to 5.5 updater in the .sit archive or separate?

But either way, I'm so happy to see a 5.5 server up and running now, just learning how the thing works, lol! :D

Hmm, I wonder how we could test out that 6.0 server code theory? I too came up blank as far as any codes for it :(

Ah no scratch that server code thought - memory was playing tricks on me :P
The DL @ #1 on the version 6 page only installs as Standard or Unlimited, depending on the code used. Developer is a separate DL and Server is not on that page AFAIK.

On the 5.5 page: DL #8 for version 5.5 Developer, DL #11 for 5.5 Server and DL #12 is for 5.5 Pro.

That v5.0v1 Server at DL #10, should probably be on a version 5.0 page, not 5.5

I'll get one of my G4 Minis going with Mac OS X then :)

I think I (might?) have a newer one that's Intel with a hard drive? (that one might not work though) and my G4 models don't have hard drives (I know, I bought them really bare bones)

I was trying to rev them up with OS 9 from an external and also tried testing them with a System boot and installer from either the MG or the OS9Lives project, but sadly didn't get as far as I'd hoped; I think because they either needed an internal drive to boot, or I'm suspecting that their optical drives were all bad? (excitedly, I bought three of those suckers..) I know I got the models right (I'm pretty sure that they were the first-gen single-core G4 models) but got none to run OS 9 :(

Even so, OS X should work fine on those (even more configuring, yay! lol) ;)
