I'd like to remap some of the keys on my keyboard. Does anyone know of a good utility to edit the keyboard layouts? KeyCaps is good to check on what key combo brings up what but it does not seem to allow editing. |

I think T-Minus-Ten : https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/t-minus-ten Can do that. I've had it make Cmd-K open the Chooser, and Cmd-n open a new Greg'sBrowser window for example, if this is the kind of things you want. Also KeyQuencer : https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/keyquencer

Good call, thanks! Though, from a first glance, they do seem to fall rather in the Macro category? (Downloading KeyQuencer now) That will probably do, though I was rather looking for something that would allow me to either directly edit the keyboard layouts in Mac OS or create a new one. I'd like to swap keys around to actually resemble my keyboard.

Oh I see, sorry. Then it seems its possible to edit keyboard layouts with ResEdit ? : https://eclecticlight.co/2016/06/04/the-genius-of-mac-resedit-and-resources/ But never tried that myself.

I should have mentioned before, that I'm aware of "the ResEdit solution". The utility I'm looking for allows me to possibly create multiple keyboard layouts and easily switch through them. Either through the built-in Mac OS capabilities or by new / other means. I'd also like to be able to edit the layouts (ideally via a nice GUI) as well as duplicating existing ones for fast 'n easy editing. I still believe there ought to be such a utility but I haven't been able to track it down yet. My search continues, but thanks for trying to help out @galgot!
