Discovered yesterday while playing around with an installer that included a copy of Virex that my Mini vMac disk image was infected with CDEF and WDEF. Harmless (and easily dispatched), but this also included my Mini vMac II disk image.

So I went through scanning all my recently archived img files of various disks that I've acquired recently, and it turns out that a user-made disk that was part of a lot I picked up, it had one of its programs infected with nVIR-A! Not so harmless...

I even had launched some of what was on that disk (it was a Games disk) but not that particular game. Very lucky... My LCIII is safe!

EDIT: Yes, CDEF/WDEF are System 6 viruses, but nVIR is definitely "compatible" with System 7!
