When I go to select text to copy, the text is highlighted in a rather drab orange which to my old eyes is almost indistinguishable from the from the sites general rather drab greenish background. I am no color ninja so I may see those colors wrong or different than others. Overall I am fond of the color scheme of the site, it looks very nice, but the highlight color for selected text to my eyes does not provide a good contrast with the unselected areas. Anyway I find it difficult to see the material I have selected. I do not know if anyone else has this problem but I thought I would mention it. |

Here I am making a tempest in a teapot. I tend to just use things without paying much attention to the underpinning of how they are working. I always assumed colors, highlights, etc on a web page were set by the sites html. In the case of newer browsers anyway the highlight color used is the system highlight color set in the system settings. I use a bright orange for a highlight color and for me that has always worked fine system wide. However it turns out that my orange highlight selection offers absolutely no contrast on the greenish brown background color of System7Today's forums. So I guess the problem is of my own making. A quick way to determine the contrast between colors is to switch the color space to greyscale. When I do that I found that the orange highlight color I have chosen renders into greyscale it is almost indistinguishable for the greyscale produced by background color used by System7.
