Once you are old enough, you can get a job and realize all your Mac-y dreams. I know that's what I did, and it took me more than 10 years of wait in that sense to be able to do that. ![]() Admittedly, though, getting a System 7 machine is more expensive than getting, say, a Mac mini G4, which runs OS9. If you watch eBay and the like attentively, the latter can be bought really cheap, with some luck. However, with a full salary income, a System 7 machine will also be perfectly affordable. PowerMac G4s in general sometimes appear cheap, too. Just gotta try to avoid import taxes.

snes, you're located in the U.S. aren't you? This was Mac land... there ought to be System 7 Macs rotting in school labs and small businesses. Relieve them! Don't you guys have classifieds or something? One can score a good System 7 PowerPC Mac for roughly 50-100ยง here - and Macs were exotic here, so only a limited number made it onto the market. Of course, a maxed out 9600 comes a bit more pricey ...

eh im only 16 and i know that my school used to have 2001 imacs but they got rid of them way back when i was in 1st grade circa 2011-2012

i do have a PowerBook 165 that came from a school environment that i bought off eBay last year accept i cant wipe it due to the fact that when i boot from a floppy disk it freezes and the drive stops booting it and the trackball will freeze when the hard drive goes too sleep usually it will only go up and down the screen and then when the hard drive wakes up or if spin up the trackball it fly's off to the left or right and the hard drive will sometimes making clicking sound then a screech when it wakes up i got it for 79.99 with two chargers and a manual
