I'm a huge fan of OS 7.2, but I just bought a classic mac off ebay that came with OS 8. I have a PowerBook 5300 which I use daily and love to death, but I'm wondering how I would open .img files, as there seems to be limited knowledge on how to open/mount these kind of files at all. I have stuffit expander, but I'm not sure it's much help. Any ideas on how I would open/mount/copy to floppy disks a .img file?

You need Disk Copy 6.3.3 to open .img files - it will turn them into virtual floppy disks.
