Looking for help finding memory for a PowerMac 7500. I'm pretty sure it needs 168pin EDO RAM. But a memory module I bought did not fit into the RAM slots, the small 'notch' was slightly out of line as if it was the wrong type. Was there something I missed?

The PowerMac 7500 uses 70ns 168-pin DIMMs. It can use either EDO or FPM. If the notch does not line up then you must have ended up with the wrong modules. Make sure you do not try and force it to fit.

There are 8 memory slots, so it can hold a Gig of memory, which is way more that you need for 7.6.1. Overall I think the 7500 is considered one of Apple's more rugged, durable, useful, and upgradeable machines.
