Every time I put my PowerBook 1400c  laptop to sleep, when it wakes up the computer completely freezes up.  I get an error message that reads "The application 'Finder' has unexpectedly quit.  You should save your work in other open applications and restart the computer."

The computer is running on an internal flash drive.  I believe it is a hardware problem as I tried a different flash drive via one of the PC card slots and get the same problem.  I just bought the laptop, and it's in excellent condition (not used much).

Can anyone help with this problem, although now that I write the problem out I feel it probably doesn't belong in this forum since it's apparently a hardware problem and not a OS 7 problem.

I've tried things like resetting the PM and PRAM, etc.

Thank for any advice anyone can offer.

PowerBook 1400c/133, 48 MB RAM, running on AC power, OS 7.6.

For what it is worth, I have always found waking up from sleep to be a crap shoot - losing much more than winning on the PB1400.
