I recently acquired an 8600 and a beige G3 (OS 8.6 and 9.2 respectively). When they're in sleep mode, the fans stay on. Is that normal for older Macs? They do go to sleep, but for me the fan staying on defeats one of the purposes of sleep mode. |

My 5500's fans stay on 100% of the time. Gets hot in a confined black case!
