I've been fascinated by the Mac world since early 90's, however my true Mac experience began in 2004 with Panther on a PowerMac G5. I never really used Classic operating systems until a couple of years ago, when I got a Clamshell iBook with Mac OS 9 and I began experimenting with old software and hardware in my spare time. The reason I'm here is because I got a rare piece of software: Mac OS 7.6.1 Romanian. Mac OS 7.5 and 7.6.1 are the only versions of Mac OS which have been translated by Apple in Romanian. This may not be important for you, but it is for me because, well, I'm a Romanian. ![]() It's nice to be here and this site is a great resource for those still inlove with the Classic Mac OS. ![]() All the best, Tudor |

Welcome If you apply the upgrades that Dan has assembled, you will find your Clamshell mac just zipping along. I do not think that any of the upgrades are language dependant, but maybe Dan can chime in here just in case there are any hidden "gotcha's" Have fun

Ah, Romania. Home of probably one of the most gruesome dictators in modern history: Vlad the Impaler.

Ha ha, blood spilling was a very popular "sport" during the Medieval Ages in this part of Europe. So there had to be a champion somewhere! LOL

I consider that to be "modern" history. Nice little revolution Romania had in 1989, too. Gotta love a country that takes their political leaders to a military base, gives them a mock trial, and then guns them down with AK-47s within minutes of the guilty verdict. Oh, and televises the execution, too!

We were still busy fighting with Tatars and Turks here in the East. No time for Renaissance things... Quote from: "Minimalist" Nice little revolution Romania had in 1989, too. Quote from: "Beavix"
I read the transcript of the "trial". It went a little something like this: (I'm paraphrasing.) Prosecutor: You are charged with living the good life while your people suffered. Nicolae: I have nothing to say to you. Prosecutor: Do you admit that you're guilty? Nicolae: Where's your evidence? Prosecutor: This is a legal trial. You have a right to court appointed defense counsel. Defense: You do realise that you are guilty? Prosecutor: We're asking for the death penalty. Defense: The death penalty seems about right. Elena: What the hell? Nicolae: This is outrageous. Prosecutor: We find the accused guilty and sentence him to death. They tie the hands of Nicolae and his wife Elena and lead them outside. Shots ring out from AK-47 assault rifles. Nicolae and Elena are dead. Ah, yes, this trial brings back memories. The courts in my town operate the same way!!!
