The system requirements are listed as OS 8.0, but of course it might run with less. Other Adobe products of that era required "Navigation Services" to be installed. Navigation Services came with OS 8, but an early version of Navigation Services was available for 7.6. So if it doesn't you might look for that. bill

I've used GoLive 2 and 3 I believe with System 7. GoLive kindof sucks compared to Dreamweaver, though. You'll have better luck with that. http://main.system7today.com/software/dreamweaver/dreamweaver.html

I used to use Dreamweaver myself, until I decided that I wanted to learn HTML. Since I took the plunge, I haven't used anything other than a text editor for web pages... Usually vi. There is also a vim (VI iMproved) port for the Macintosh that will run rather well in System 7. If you ever plan on learning Linux, *BSD, Solaris, or migrating to Mac OS X, it might be worth your time to give MacVIM a spin. And HTML isn't as difficult as you might imagine.

Dreamweaver actually has a really nice text-based editor feature.

"navigation services" was a Huge internet security hole and large cause of crashes all the way through OS 9.x.x. period. hint; never, never, never open the apple menu while online under OS9 of ANY VERSION on an untrusted site or while opening untrusted email - regret is likely. sad,very sad.
