Have someone used both of these? Which one would you prefer and why?

Home Page FTW - Page Mill has a bizarre take on HTML.

Thanks!

I have no experience of either. I bumped somewhere into a free-or shareware which should fix afterwards the HTML knots of the PageMill, but does it works, or is it worth of doing it that way?

Which of those you would consider "easier" to work with?

If I recall correctly Dan Knight said he first started and maintened the The LowEndMac site using Claris Home Page.

There were proponents of both packages. Adobe stopped work on theirs when the purchaed GoLive. Claris Home Page did not see an update for ages and of course just went away when Claris was disolved or reabsorbed.

There was at one point both a Home Page for Dummies and a PageMill for Dummies book in print. I would imagine for site creating for today's web using older Mac Systems it would probably be necessary to learn html and get a text editor.

Hopefully not, but I keep my fingers crossed. I should have something to show in a month, if everything goes well.

When I'm out and I need to make a web page I use pagemill. Then I put it into golive and fix it. Claris doesn't tweek the html as bad but it still needs fixed. I've used both and homepage was the easiest to use by far and did a really nice job. Pagemill is used only because I still have a copy.

Good to know I am on the right track here.  Yesterday I ordered a how-to book of Home Page from Ebay.

Is the fixing of  HTML a manual thing for the Home Page? Will it be something I have to do to make a simple page to work, or is it finetuning ?
