Maybe try the HD updater from here, the .txt file says that Disk First Aid may not be able to properly deal with the disk if the update isn't installed. http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/PowerBook/PB_1400/ |

Thanks, but I use Silverlining (and FWB) and have no problems with mounting/formatting/partitioning
