Hi guys,

I don't know whether this is cross posting since there's Apple and 3rd party forums. I'm trying to find a good telnet client that will work on Mac OS 7.5.3 through OS 8. The machines are 540c (may have ppc conversion) and 3400c.

Thank you,
Rand

A Telnet client was part of the Macintosh Communication Toolbox, which allow you to connect via telnet using the communication module of ClarisWorks 3 or 4. The MCT became part of the MacOS in Version 6.0.x and remained a functional part (although little used) through OS 9.

It would be much better if you used the newer version of that program, MacSSH.

Thanks very much guys. I did find the MacSSH and betterTelnet apps on web searches but I wanted to hear from the experts here about which ones might be good. You never know what you'll get when you start downloading apps from the internet!

I'll begin with the included app as soon as I can get some cables and post back if I've any info to share.

Thanks all,
Rand

Generally speaking, whatever software you find at this site in the software guide is the best for whatever task you want to perform IMHO.
