Are there any games, including the demos on s7t, that can be networked? Basically head to head.

Yeah... Marathon. It's a great game.

Now that you mention marathon, I have a copy running around here somewhere. I'll have to play and see what happens.

Is that a bad thing? I went to the actual bungie site, and they have a link to the bungie.org site for the game. I own my own copy of Marathon, I think I mentioned it somewhere else on this site about my playing of them back in the day. I did forget that I have had them.

Now for an actual related thing to my post, how do I network the game? I'm trying to do this on my powerbook 1400's. THe g3 and 166. A head to head game, if not marathon, something else would be nice.

Thanks all
Niki

Some other System 7 compatible network games are:

-Civ 2 Gold. Finding a copy is getting harder to do these days.

and

-Warcraft 2. MegaMacs.com has retail box copies of this available for $9.

If you own one copy of Starcraft, a second installation (a spawn install) can be done, it runs on 7.6.x and uses MacIPX.

The same is true of a Diablo CD + a Diablo spawn, running 7.5.x.

I think the original release of Warcraft II works that way, but not War2BNE.

Okay, marathon, installed. Now can they be appletalked together? Or am I stuck shooting things solo?

All of the Marathons, and some other games are in the gaming section now.
