We have been having protests here, but this is not about politics. The Governor called up the National Guard to ease the tensions. The National Guard duly showed up bringing hot coffee and donuts, to ease the tensions of course.

That is just so typical Minnesota.

How are you and your fellow Minnesotans doing these days, wove?

It has been a surprisingly warm winter here, with very little snow. I hate snow shoveling, so the lack of snow works well for me, but the farmers need the moisture it provides for spring planting. I was out yesterday visiting friends on my electric scooter, which is an unusual thing do in February in Minnesota.

Strong communities make for a nice place to live. Neighboring towns, like New Ulm, Kilkenny, Heidelburg, Norseland, and New Sweden tend to remind everyone that we are all immigrants and we need to support each other. So whether it is ice and snow, or just ICE we deal with it as a tight knit community. It is not much different from the support members provide to each other in the System7Today community.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I haven't figured these forums out just yet.

A community makes all the difference, and I'm glad you're feeling that connection locally ... but dang, MN has been through too much this year. I'm glad you got an early taste of warm weather, tht is such a good feeling at the end of a long winter.

I could almost write an entire message using only expletives about ICE and the evil barbie doll cosplayer who was the secretary of DHS. Thankfully the *bleep* got fired. Now I hear criminal charges are in the process of getting filed against her. The regime is running scared and rats are jumping ship. Eventually, no one will admit to ever supporting this. I'm glad you're well, wove.

We all have so much more in common than our differences. We all just want to live happy lives, and many people here are already saying they will never forgive the traitors among us. I hope they spend the rest of their lives in adrenal fatigue, scared that they might be outed. I have nothing but maximum contempt for them.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of my extended family are MAGAts.

I understand this is an upsetting topic for many people. Still, I'd please ask you to refrain from commenting on politics on S7T. We're a place about lovely beige System 7 Macs (and their emulated counterparts) and that's what we should really be focusing on. Leave the world behind, boot onto that Desktop and just enjoy the technology for what it is :-)

I 2nd that. Things are about to get a lot more "interesting" in this world of ours. And I fear we have already crossed the point after which level headed discussions about any of these topics just isn't an option anymore.

After all, the people who get paid to keep their heads cool are running a temperature approaching boiling point.

How are we supposed to do any better then?
