Those of you into strategy games may remember "Transport Tycoon" from the PC DOS world during the 1990's. It was quite popular here in Central Europe - what about the rest of the world? Anyway, there has never been a Mac version ... except one for Japan! Which, unfortunately, is unplayable unless you're pretty fluent in nihongo. But users Csaboka and greystash changed that and just released a patch that translates the Japanese version into English! The game can be downloaded from the Mac Garden The patch is available from greystash's page I haven't looked into this, but I'm definitely very much interested and will do so. System requirements are a PowerPC System 7 machine. |

Wow! Nice! I used to play Transport Tycoon on our family 486 back in the days. Wonderful to be able to play it on my 8600!

Just gave it a 5 minute try! It's tricky using the installer on the disc due to the language barrier (Japanese) but it's sufficient to just copy + paste all contents on the HD and then run the English patch on top of it. All stuff indeed gets translated into English. I briefly played a new game and everything is looking very professionally made. Kudos to greystash and csaboka!
